China’s “6.18 Festival” is coming up soon, which is one of the many commercial things created by Alibaba and other businesses. If you have plans to visit Hong Kong and don’t have hotel status, there might be something interesting for you.
Conrad Hong Kong is selling some room vouchers on Fliggy (Alibaba’s travel platform). You can choose from the three packages below:
- Two Nights / Deluxe Peak View Room, daily breakfast and 500 HKD credit – 3,888 RMB (£421)
- One Night / Executive Peak View Room, lounge access and 500 HKD credit – 2,538 RMB (£275)
- One Night / Executive Harbour View Room, lounge access and 500 HKD credit – 3,045 RMB (£330)
You’ll also earn Hilton Gold status after the stay. Note that you must stay by August 31st, and Hilton Honors benefits / stay credits / points don’t apply.
The prices look very sensible to me, and Hilton Gold status is a nice-to-have add-on. The challenge would be to understand and purchase on Fliggy’s website – it is probably much easier in Alipay instead, and I’ve explained how in this article.
There are a few other room vouchers that offer Hilton Gold status too, but they are all for hotels in mainland China. Search the keyword 一住升金 on Fliggy to reveal all of the them.
