Trip.com, an international spinoff of China’s travel agency giant Ctrip, often runs excellent promotions which turn up a lot on our blog.
We wrote about one of their major perks, £5 / £10 off all flight bookings a while ago. Unfortunately the benefit was cut back earlier this year and is limited to three bookings per year now, but still useful.
It’s not only bad news. As you can see on their promo page, the discount is no longer tied to the ticket price and is fixed to £10 off on all bookings, subject to a minimum £1 payment. The annual limit of 3 bookings still applies and you must book on the Trip.com app.
The discount works particularly well on budget airlines, as it won’t be unusual for you to find something under £5. Once you’ve made the three bookings you’ll qualify for Trip.com Platinum status which comes with an airport lounge pass, and nothing stops you from creating a new account…
If you don’t have a Trip.com account yet, my referral link should give you some new member vouchers too.
