IHG: 50% off points, targeted 12k bonus, double-night offer extended

IHG has a new point sale: until September 7, purchase at 5,000 points in one go to avail 100% bonus, and the annual limit (before bonus) has been increased to 250,000 points.

Note that you must buy at least 26,000 points to take advantage of the lowest price. With the promotion it works out at 0.5c / 0.388p per point. Remember that IHG had a global devaluation recently so make sure you can spend them well before making any purchase.

We wrote about IHG’s double-elite-qualifying-night offer a while go. The offer was intended for employees of select companies but was open for the public to register. The initial end date was June 30th, which was extended to July 31st, and it seems to have become December 31st now.

You can earn a maximum of 15 elite qualifying night credits with this offer. If you haven’t signed up already, try this link.

And I finally received a targeted offer from IHG! You could see if you are eligible too here.

It is a “welcome back” offer – I just returned from a first IHG stay since a long time ago.

IHG’s award pricing is more tightly coupled with the cash price now so don’t think it’s easy to find

a few days ago I booked nights at the IC Amman for 28,000 points per night in June 2025 when the nightly refundable cost was approx 230 USD. Pretty decent at about 0.75 cent/point
