After Hilton dragged the bar down, IHG has wasted no time following suit: until 31 October (US Eastern Time), buying at least 35,000 IHG One Rewards points in a single transaction gets you a 100% bonus (half-price), plus an extra 3,500 bonus points!
According to the terms and conditions, the additional 3,500 points will be credited to your account within six weeks.
The sweet spot is to buy 35,000 points, giving you a total of 73,500 points for $350. That works out at just 0.483c / 0.365p per point.
I’m not sure whether you can repeat the purchase multiple times in blocks of 35,000 points, but either way, this is a pretty good price — especially given that IHG points tend to hold their value reasonably well.
