GHA roundup: points sale, Blacklane partnership, bonus promotion

With hotel promotions popping up everywhere lately, today feels like a good time for a dedicated post about GHA. First, a quick mention: their status match campaign is open again, but since it requires payment we won’t spend too much time on it. Honestly, if you’re eligible, the free Mastercard route (in Asia-Pacific) is still probably the better option.

Points Sale

GHA’s points sales have basically become a regular occurrence at this point:

  • Buy D$ by June 2 and receive a 15% discount
  • Purchase amounts range from D$10 to D$5,000

Similar to Accor, GHA points are pegged directly to the US dollar at a fixed value, so aside from currency fluctuations there’s really no concept of devaluation or appreciation. If you already have stays planned, buying points can make sense (I don’t remember seeing a discount better than 15% off before), though keep in mind that D$ comes with a strict two-year expiry.

Minor Anniversary Promotion

Minor Hotels is also running a pretty interesting anniversary promotion:

  • Book by August 31
  • Stay by September 30
  • Earn triple points plus D$25 on each of your first two stays
  • If they are from two different brands, receive an extra D$50

Minor’s brands include Anantara, Avani, Tivoli, NH, Minor, Oaks, iStay, The Wolseley, and Elewana.

With just two stays, you’re already looking at triple points (effectively a 15% rebate) plus another D$100 in bonuses. If you can find some cheap stays to trigger the offer, the return could actually be very attractive.

There are also plenty of other stackable promotions running at the same time: D$5 for app bookings, D$30 bonuses at NH properties in Paris, double points for stays in Europe and the Americas, and so on. You might as well just register for everything.

Blacklane Partnership

Following Hilton’s partnership with DiDi, GHA has now teamed up with German premium chauffeur service company Blacklane as well. The most relevant part for us is that during 2026, GHA Gold members and above can enjoy various Blacklane benefits. Titanium members, for example, receive a 5% discount along with five US$25 vouchers.

The partnership officially launched on May 8, and members are supposedly receiving emails explaining how to activate the benefits, but I haven’t received anything at all. Maybe it’s my email settings issue?

On top of that, Blacklane rides can also earn GHA status:

  • 1 ride: Gold
  • 3 rides: Platinum
  • 11 rides: Titanium

Honestly, 11 rides doesn’t even sound that difficult… though I can only say that because I have absolutely no idea how expensive Blacklane actually is. Even with those US$25 vouchers, I suspect I still wouldn’t be able to afford it!
