Great offer returns: buy Accor points at 25% off

Accor’s All Signature has launched another promotion, and I recommend you take a look if you stay at Accor hotels.

I explained extensively how the program works in a previous post so I will not repeat it here. Basically you pay for the subscription, and in return you earn Accor redeemable points and status points each month. It is an indirect way to buying Accor points and upgrading your status faster. There were three different plans, and there’s now a new (lower) plan called Essential but it’s kind of irrelevant for our purpose.

The new promotion, which is to celebrate All Signature’s anniversary, is as follows:

  • Valid for new subscriptions until June 11
  • Monthly plan: use code ANIVERSARIO15 for 15% off
  • Quarterly plan: use code ANIVERSARIO30 for 10% off
  • Yearly plan: use code ANIVERSARIO100 for 9% off

You can pick a plan + frequency combination that works best for you, depending on how many points you need. If you purchase the Absolute Monthly plan and cancel after one month, you pay 476 BRL for 5,000 points, essentially buying Accor points at 13% off.

To maximise the offer, you can just purchase the Absolute Yearly plan, and over 12 months you’ll earn 75,000 points for the 6048 BRL (€1106) paid. That’s just over 25% off.

That’s a lot of money and points though. Here’s an alternative:

  • Purchase an Absolute Quarterly plan
  • After receiving third month’s points, switch to the Monthly plan
  • Cancel after another month

This strategy is to avail the extra bonus in the 4th month. You pay 1680*0.9+560=2072 BRL (€377.52) for 25,000 points, equivalent to a discount of 24.5%. The only snag is for switching the plan you must contact their customer service at [email protected], and their response time can be very slow.

It also happens they post the wrong amount of bonus points, but an email to the address above should sort it out. If you stay at Accor hotels semi-frequently, or are interested in their experiences, you should participate in this offer.

Although All Signature provides a fast route for status upgrade, it’s on the different track (status points) so doesn’t work together with All Plus China / Ibis / Voyageur / Accor Plus. The latter is much easier for you to get Accor Platinum status.
