Cheap Accor points and fast status with All Signature

Accor has (yet another) paid program called All Signature, which originated in Brazil but is now open to the global market. We wrote about their lucrative deal last year, and I think it’s time to give it another look.

[Buying Points]

The homepage is here. There are three plan tiers that offer monthly Accor point deposit along with other benefits. You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly or annually.

  • Discover: R$119 / R$357 / R$1,428 & 1,000 monthly points
  • Explorer: R$345 / R$1,035 / R$4,140 & 3,000 monthly points
  • Absolute: R$560 / R$1,680 / R$6,720 & 5,000 monthly points

You receive double points on the 4th, 8th and 12th month, which means you’ll collect 15,000 / 45,000 / 75,000 bonus points per year in each plan respectively.

Price-wise the different plans work out quite similarly, and you end up paying slightly more than the points you receive, without counting the bonus. On the lowest end you pay €22 for 1,000 points, and on the top end you pay €104 for 5,000 points.

There is however, a trick to get a better deal with the fourth month bonus offer, as you can basically pay for four months and get five-month’s worth of points. Take the Absolute plan as an example, four months’ subscription costs €417, and you get 25,000 points back in return worth €500 – equivalent to buying Accor points at a 16.6% discount! And with Accor’s Limitless Experiences those points could be worth even more.

The subscription is easy to modify or cancel online.

Last year I joined on the quarterly plan. I didn’t want to keep it but was tempted by the fourth month bonus. I emailed their customer service team to change it to monthly (can’t be done online), and did receive the bonus:

However it’s 3,750 only instead of 5,000. No idea how that number came from, and I emailed their customer service again to clarify.

[Status Accelerator]

You will also earn 200 / 600 / 1,000 status points per month with each plan, which paves your way to Accor’s elite status.

With the Absolute plan, after seven months you’ll earn enough points for Accor Gold (7,000 status points), and after 12 months you are only 2,000 points short for Accor Platinum (14,000 status points). To earn that 2,000 points you need to spend €800 (excluding tax) at full-service brands.

As far as I know it is probably the easiest way to get “permanent” Accor Gold status, and it also makes the Platinum status much more accessible. With Accor’s All Plus program you can also “buy” up to 30 nights which is enough for Gold, but you are still 30 nights away from Platinum, which is a much harder target than €800 spend.

Note that status points are reset every year, so the best time to subscribe is in January.
