Japan Airlines x Trip.com – Oneworld Sapphire status after one return flight

If you are based in / travelling to Southeast Asia, Japan Airlines is offering a fast-track opportunity for Sapphire upgrade after one return flight.

You must enroll via Trip.com’s mobile app. In the app settings make sure language is English and country is set to one of Thailand / Singapore / Malaysia / Philippines. Then you should be able to see the promotion banner on the homepage and register.

Here are the details:

  • All Trip.com members can participate
  • Booking window: March 18 – April 14
  • Travel window: May 15 – July 31
  • Complete one return trip in business class departing from the following cities:
    • Kuala Lumpur – JL724
    • Manila – JL78 / JL746
    • Singapore – JL36 / JL38 / JL712
    • Bangkok – JL32 / JL34 / JL708 / JL728

Once completed, your JMB account will be upgraded to Sapphire in April, valid from September 2024 to December 2025.

The catch? These flights aren’t cheap, as they are medium-long-haul flights that last six hours or longer.
