Oneworld round-the-world in business for under £3k

Egypt’s forex market is undergoing a big turmoil lately, and similar to what happened to Argentina it created many arbitrage opportunity due to pricing errors. I don’t want to drill into too many details, and here’s the Flyertalk thread if you are interested.

The top 1 hotspot in the last few days was Star Alliance’s round-the-world ticket, if departing from Cairo you can create an itinerary in business class for €3,000 or less. It has been so wide-spread that Star Alliance has reacted and adjusted the prices already.

It seems that however, you can still take advantage of the deal flying Oneworld.

You can fly around the world for under £3,000. Max. 16 segments and 34,000 travel distance are allowed.

Booking the ticket isn’t as straightforward, which is the main reason why it’s gone under the radar. I think once you’ve got the itinerary, you could call any Oneworld airline (e.g. BA) to book, but it’s probably gonna be a long call depending how complex your trip is.

Why would you say “pricing errors”? You’re doing your readers and everyone else no favours.
