We wrote about Hilton’s corporate status match and challenge recently, which is available to the employees of many companies.
It turns out that someone at Hilton slacked off and didn’t bother to implement the check properly. As long as you enter an eligible email address on the promotion page, you will be enrolled and there’s no need to click the verification email…
It means that everyone can get instant Diamond, and complete 12 nights by April 29th to earn the full status. Eligible companies include Oracle, Apple and more. It takes around one week for your account to be upgraded after registration.
There are multiple data points confirming this. It seems that the Diamond trial is actually valid through May, although you need to complete the challenge by April 29th to extend its expiry.
If you don’t fulfill the verification process however, there will always be a risk that Hilton takes your status back.
Just another reason I’m not a Hilton member since everyone and their dog is Diamond via “IT glitches” and the Amex Aspire.
The benefits are real though, at least outside North America
