Preferred Hotels is a soft hotel alliance, similar to Leading Hotels of the World and Small Luxury Hotels. Some very well-known hotels in London are part of this group, for example Royal Lancaster London and the Beaumont Hotel.
They are running a fast track offer at the moment, the European version here. The promotion is called Loving Local: My Europe Residences.
- You must book by September 2nd, and stay by December 31st
- Minimum two-night stay required
- non-Elite members will be upgraded to Elite after one stay, and awarded 2,500 bonus points
- Elite members will be awards 5,000 bonus points
Unfortunately there are only 15 participating properties in Europe. The Asia version has a longer book-by date till October 31st, however there are even fewer participating properties – only 4.
Preferred Hotels has a revenue-based redemption system. 2,500 points can be cashed out as $5, so this incentive is very poor.
As you can see from the chart, the only additional benefit of Elite, compared to free Inside members, is welcome amenity. All members enjoy room upgrade, early check-in and late check-out too, subject to availability.
