If you are an ITA Airways Executive member, time is running out for gifting a Premium card!
The rules aren’t clear, but I believe that the option is reactivated when 365 days has passed since the last time you gifted a card. ITA extended all card expiry to 03/26, and I can now gift another Premium although although I did it once already last year.
The problem is, as mentioned by a reader, the gifted status has the same 03/26 expiry, so is valid for three weeks only. Well, that’s still something if you have any imminent flight with ITA Airway or the Lufthansa Group.
It was suggested in Lufthansa’s annual report that, ITA Airways will join Star Alliance as a full member by the end of this month. There is a possibility that all current memberships will be extended again, but don’t have high hopes.
