Cathay Pacific has been running a huge number of promotions over the past year, and here comes another one: up to 30% rebate on certain award tickets. Don’t miss it!

- Flight awards on Cathay Pacific metal only
- Redeem by January 21
- Travel window: January 22 to March 31
- Round-trip tickets only, open-jaw itineraries permitted
- Redeem Mainland China – Hong Kong, or Hong Kong – Southeast Asia flights to receive a 20% rebate
- Redeem Mainland China – Southeast Asia (via Hong Kong) flights to receive a 30% rebate
Note that this promotion is structured as a rebate, not an instant discount. The rebated miles will be credited to your account by May 31. When redeeming on the official website, you must enter the relevant promo code:
- CNHKSEA for departures from Mainland China
- GBAHKSEA for departures from Hong Kong
Eligible departure points in Mainland China include: Beijing, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Haikou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shanghai (Hongqiao), Shanghai (Pudong), Wenzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Ürümqi.
Eligible destinations in Southeast Asia include: Bangkok, Cebu, Denpasar (Bali), Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Penang, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Singapore, Surabaya.
The rebate is quite generous, and a pleasant surprise is that Chinese New Year dates are not excluded. It also appears that redemptions are not limited to the account holder, and tickets issued for family & friends should also qualify. In addition, Cathay’s Rewards in the Air promotion is still ongoing (ending January 31): redeem at least 15,000 miles to receive an extra 2,000 bonus miles, which can be stacked with this offer.
