Choice Hotels has become more and more aggressive in its point sale. There was a 40%-off deal in July and August and it has now got even sweeter.
- 6,000 – 9,000 points: 35% off
- 10,000 – 17,000 points: 40% off
- 18,000 points and more: 45% off
The threshold for 45% off is quite reasonable, and at that discount you’ll be paying 0.57c per point which is very good. Choice did have 50% discount in the past but if I remember correctly that was reserved for their credit card members. The sale ends on September 29.
Choice had a minor devaluation lately, but their point remains highly valuable. The main sweet spots are North Europe, Japan and Preferred Hotels.
