This year’s World Expo is held in Japan’s Osaka and IHG appears to be one of the sponsors. Following their Top Stayer Challenge, a second round of promotion is on the way.

There were a few other offers for double night credit earlier, and in the extreme case you could earn 4x qualifying nights!
Also World-Expo-related, IHG has an experience redemption for VIP entry tickets.
For 5,000 points you can buy a First Half Period Ticket – VIP Pass, which is single-entry and valid until July 18.
I have no idea what treatment the VIP pass receives, but a regular one-day pass costs 7,500 JPY (~$51) so 5,000 IHG (~$25) points has to be a good deal.
