An incredibly good hotel offer, but it’s difficult to avail if you are not from China. Jinjiang Hotel Group acquired Radisson EMEA a while ago to expand its portfolio, the latter having a decent footprint in Asia, Europe and Middle East.
Jinjiang runs a separate membership program to Radisson Rewards. They just launched a sale yesterday:
- Book by May 31
- Stay any date in 2025
- Enjoy 50% off redemption at any non-China hotels
You can search for 锦江酒店 in Wechat’s mini program to check it out, and if there’s any availability a redemption option will show up on the booking page.
The main hurdle is to get Jinjiang points. As we’ve discussed before, it’s possible to purchase Ping An points and then transfer to Jinjiang at a 27.5:2 ratio, the cost coming up at approximate 26.6 RMB / £2.75 per 1,000 Jinjiang points. There’s a monthly cap of 50,000 points.
It is almost mission impossible to proceed if you don’t speak Chinese or have a Chinese phone number, or at least have a friend from China. It’s also possible to buy Jinjiang points from their 锦江荟 mobile app, but that would be even more challenging.
Assuming you’ve managed to buy points, here are some pricing examples. Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London is available at 30,100 points per night:
Or in other words, £80. That’s an insane price – what kind of hotel do you usually expect for £80 in London nowadays?
And some others:
- Radisson Collection Berlin – 19,600 points / £54
- Radisson Blu Lucerne – 22,900 points / £63 or Premium Lakeview Room 33,400 points / £93
- Veridia Resort Sardine – 27,600 points / £76, breakfast and dinner included
- Radisson Blu 1919 Reykjavik – 26,300 points / £73
As you can see, some hotels offer the upgrade option for a better room or half-board. A reader has already done a test booking and there’s a link in the confirmation email to add Radisson membership number, which means you get complimentary breakfast and lounge access as Radisson VIP.
Again, the bar is very high for non-Chinese speakers. But if you can take advantage of this offer you definitely shouldn’t miss it.
Hi, Kai.
How do we use point to book? How do we check how many point does it require for a stay?
I had logged in to my account and click redeem. However, I didnt see “Redeem My Points”. Kindly advise. Thank you
No special entry point, just book as usual and if there’s availability the option will show up
Ok, that’s mean if no show, there is not available?
Ok, thank you, Kai
Yes, not all hotels or dates have availability
The customer service in the 锦江荟 app are saying it is not possible to buy points via the app. Do you have experience with this route? I would like to spend more then the 50k a month points limit
You have to buy a special product 数字藏品 which has sold out currently. Will update later if it comes back
Hello Kai,
Can I ask my friend to buy on their name and then transfer to my Radisson account? Or I will have to give them my account on the first place?
Also, if we need more points, can I actually ask 2 of my friends to buy then transfer to me?
Please enlighten.
Thank you
They can book under your name and email address. You will receive a confirmation email
Hello Kai,
Just to clarify, so when they make purchase, they can directly input my name and email, so the point will go into my account directly?
Do you think I can ask 2 of my friend to buy the points for me?
I intend to stay at Rome for 2 nights on September (not sure the points is enough if only 50.000 points).
Thank you for your help.
