As we’ve previously covered, many hotel groups run exclusive promotions on Wechat as there are independent marking budget and strategy for the Greater China market.
IHG for one has been the most keen and does a monthly raffle from which I’ve earn a few hundred points every now and then. This month however, it evolves into a very generous promotion which I think is worth covering.
You can scan the following QR code using Wechat to participate. You’ll be redirected to IHG’s offer page in their Wechat mini-program.
- Offer period: March 1st to April 3rd
- Daily prize draw starting from 8am
- Prizes include bonus points, discount vouchers and free night vouchers.
Inside the mini-program, if you click the three dots on the top-right there’s an option to translate the page.
The vouchers are useless if you don’t live in China, but you can still be lucky to win the bonus point packages (800 / 8,000 / 80,000) if you try every day. From previous experiences enough packages are offered and the earlier you get in the more likely you are to win.
Note that your phone’s local time much be after 8am to enter the prize draw page, so you might need to modify the timezone temporarily to work around the feature / bug.
