Miles & More has a rather unusual feature called My Challenge. From time to time, members are given personalised challenges, with bonus miles up for grabs once you complete them. Earlier this year, those of us who had just become Senators received a 100,000-mile challenge and got a pretty good taste of what was on offer.
These challenges don’t appear all the time. There was actually quite a long gap between the previous rounds, but one has finally popped up again over the past couple of days. So go and check the Miles & More app!
The challenge runs from 1 October to 1 January, 2027, giving you three months to complete it.
The exact requirements are personalised, so everyone can get something different. You might be asked to complete a certain number of flight segments, while others — like me — can simply earn miles through any mile-earning activity. It completely depends on your account.
My challenge is actually pretty decent. It’s split into three stages, and I only need to earn a total of 7,920 miles to receive 3,570 bonus miles.
The funniest part is that I’d recently received some miles from getting a co-branded credit card. The moment the challenge activated, all those miles were apparently counted and I had already completed the entire challenge!
And yet, the last time any miles were credited to my account was actually 30 September. So it seems the challenge may be looking at a slightly wider earning window than the official start date suggests.
