Following IHG, Hilton has also launched its Q4 promotion:
- Stay between 15 October and 31 December
- Earn 3,000 points per stay at luxury, resort, lifestyle and all-inclusive hotels
- Earn 1,000 points per stay at other hotels
Doesn’t this look a lot like Marriott’s promotion? I wouldn’t be surprised if someone at Hilton’s marketing department took a little inspiration from Marriott’s campaign planning.
The luxury category includes brands such as Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, LXR, Curio and SLH. The other qualifying categories are much broader, so check the full list on the promotion page.
One interesting name on the list is YOTEL, which only joined Hilton fairly recently. It fills a rather obvious “gap” in Hilton’s portfolio: the lack of a hostel-style budget brand.
Since the bonus is awarded per stay rather than per night, the offer is fairly underwhelming. For a single-night stay at one of the bonus-qualifying hotels, though, getting 3,000 points back is at least not too shabby.
