Today, let’s go through a new update from Plaza Premium’s Smart Traveller programme. Smart Traveller is the loyalty programme of Plaza Premium Group. You can earn points by spending at their airport lounges and restaurants, and even when you get complimentary access through a partner programme, you’ll still receive 100 points per visit (except when entering with a Priority Pass).
These points can be redeemed for airport lounge access and other benefits, and Smart Traveller regularly runs promotions with various partners. If you don’t have a Smart Traveller account yet, feel free to use my referral code 7FC5SL when signing up to receive 150 bonus points as a welcome gift.
And this appears to be a brand-new promotion: Smart Traveller members can now receive complimentary GHA Gold status.
Open the app, scroll all the way down on the home page and you’ll find the promotional banner. Tap it and you’ll be redirected to the GHA page, where you can either log in or create an account to upgrade.
GHA Gold normally requires two stays or US$1,000 in eligible spending. As for the benefits, compared with basic membership the only real difference is an additional 20% bonus on earnings.
GHA has long offered a Titanium status match to eligible Mastercard cardholders. If you don’t qualify for that one, at least grab the complimentary Gold status and enjoy the upgrade.
