Etihad Airways has just launched a fast track offer, which gives you Silver or Gold status after only one return trip.
- Booking window: 16 April – 30 April
- Travel window: 16 April – 15 July
- Depart from select airports in Asia and the Middle East
- Return trip in Economy → upgrade to Silver
- Return trip in Business → upgrade to Gold
- Award tickets are not eligible
You must register via the promo page (either as a new member or by enrolling in the offer). Flights must be EY-operated with an EY flight number, and must transit via or originate/terminate in Abu Dhabi.
Your existing status must be lower than the target tier (so this cannot be used for renewal). Once completed, the status is valid for 12 months.
Silver tier isn’t particularly valuable: mainly a 25% mileage bonus and dedicated check-in counters in Abu Dhabi. On top of that, you can choose 2 out of 5 custom benefits, typically things like free seat selection and Abu Dhabi business lounge access (no guest).
Gold tier, however, is much more useful, including:
- 50% mileage bonus
- Free seat selection (plus one guest)
- Priority check-in and boarding
- Fast-track immigration
Plus, you can choose 4 out of 7 custom benefits, such as extra baggage allowance, global business lounge access (with one guest), and up to three chauffeur services.
Etihad currently has some very competitive fares from Beijing to Europe, for both economy and business class.

Other destinations like Milan, Munich and Athens have similar pricing, often cheaper than other airlines.
Since Etihad is not part of any airline alliance, its status benefits are mostly limited to its own network, so the overall value is somewhat limited. But if you already plan to fly with them, it’s a no-brainer to register and take advantage of the offer.
