Up to 90% off Grab & Uber rides in Asia Pacific

A couple of special ride app offers to share today. Note that you’ll need China’s Wechat or Alipay mobile apps to use the offers, which many users might already have anyway to take advantage of the various promotions we’ve shared in the past.

Uber

Uber has a partner offer with Wechat, targeting their newly-launched mini-program. You can check out the terms here.

  • Valid in Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and New Zealand
  • 90% off the first order, up to 100 HKD / 1,500 JPY / 25 AUD / 25 NZD discount
  • 50% off the next four orders, up to 50 HKD / 1,000 JPY / 15 AUD / 15 NZD discount

If you are in one of the four locations, open the Uber mini-program in Wechat and the discount should apply automatically.

Grab

If you are travelling in Southeast Asia however, Grab is a more popular choice than Uber. They are running a head-to-head promotion with Alipay. Search the keyword 支付宝出境游 and click the banner to claim the coupon.

  • Valid in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia
  • 60 CNY off one order
  • No minimum spend required

Your ride is free if it’s under 60 CNY (~$8.4).
