Iberia runs occasional deal on redemption tickets but they are usually targeted. There is now finally a promotion that is open to everyone.
- Book by June 22
- Valid on all flights operated by the Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum
- Economy class redemption only
- Travel between 16 October and 18 December for 25% off
- Travel between 12 January and 26 March for 40% off
When they announced the promotion last week it was activated early by mistake. The marketing materials at that time suggested it was for Platinum members only and on all classes. Not sure what’s going on now.
Iberia made changes to their redemption chart very recently and raised the redemption cost in economy implicitly if you want flexibility and bag allowance. The 40% off kind of makes up for it, but in general economy-class redemption is only recommended for short-haul flights.
You can move your Avios freely between Iberia, British Airways, Qatar Airways and Finnair.
