Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice) has brought back their Summer Pass offer, which can be very interesting if you plan to visit Northern Europe this summer.
Strawberry operates multiple hotel brands such as Comfort, Quality, Clarion and Ascend. it used be part of the Choice hotel group and still keeps a partnership with them.
You can view the offer details here, and there are dedicated pages to search availability.
- There are two passes to choose from: 5 nights (€500) or 10 nights (€800)
- They can be used at over 100 hotels across the Strawberry program
- Stay window: June 19 – August 25
- The pass can be used in one go or over multiple bookings / rooms
- You earn points and night credits on the stays
- Breakfast is included except at the Comfort Xpress brand
Participating hotels are in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Latvia – Denmark is excluded this time. Reservations are cancellable by 4pm on the check-in day.
Beware that the 5-night voucher has more participating (and superior) properties. Interestingly, the voucher can even be redeemed at non-participating hotels as €100 per night credit which is very generous.
Most hotels on the list are Comfort and Quality, mid-lower-tier brands of the Strawberry group. There are few Clarion and Home (formerly Clarion Collection) hotels, and interestingly the latter even includes complimentary dinner. Note that blackout dates apply at individual hotels.
Their search engine is quite easy to use. Here are some examples in Helskinki:
Both Hobo And Hotel AX are upmarket brands and a room night can easily cost over €200.
Should you be interested, switch to Norsk (Norway) first at the bottom right of the page. You’ll only need to pay NOK 5,000 (€430) or NOK 8,000 (€690) instead.
