A very niche deal, but if you are visiting Bangkok it’s worth keeping in mind.
The Sukhothai hotel, a renowned urban resort in the city, has an interesting Platinum program. For 11,900 THB (£256) you can enjoy a range of membership benefits for a year, including:
- 1x complimentary night at the Deluxe Suite with breakfast
- 1x room upgrade voucher
- 3x 30%-off room voucher
- 1x complimentary Sunday brunch for one person
- 4x 2,000 THB food or spa voucher
- One person dines for free for two or more diners, or 20% off for solo diner
… and more. Looks familiar? It is basically a copy of the Accor Plus program in Asia Pacific.
Here’s some simple maths. The annual fee is lower than the cheapest rate for a Deluxe Suite on Sukhothai’s website, before tax.
So it makes sense to sign up even if you only plan to stay once.
The Sukhothai hotel is a member of both GHA and SLH, so you can book through the respective channel and enjoy some additional benefits. They are part of the SLH Within preferred partner program – you could check the rate / perks via e.g. Badazhou.
