Royal Jordanian: Tunis – Asia business class from £500

Royal Jordanian had a “flash sale” in March for flights from Cairo to Asia. The offer has returned, but this time you need to depart from Tunis instead.

  • Route: Tunis – Amman – Bangkok – Hong Kong / Kuala Lumpur / Tokyo
  • The first two legs are by Royal Jordanian, and the final one by Cathay Pacific / Malaysia Airlines / Japan Airlines
  • One-way fare starts from £500
  • Free stopovers permitted

You can use Google Flights to look for available dates.

Tokyo dates are extremely scarce, but availability to Kuala Lumpur is incredibly good, almost on every day. For the same rate you can fly Saudia too.

And a Hong Kong example. Tickets can be issued by Expedia etc.

You can add stopovers at both Amman and Bangkok.

You can purchase the ticket on Royal Jordanian’s website too, which costs a bit more than the travel agencies. According to RJ, the ticket is refundable at a cost of maximum ~£160.

You are booked into C or D fare bucket, which accrues 125% or 150% miles in most frequent flyer programs. Take BA for example, you’ll earn roughly 8,500 Avios plus 220 tier points. If crediting to Alaska however, you’ll accrue 225% or 250% which is insane!
