TAP Portugal’s response to your status match request is REALLY fast

We posted about the return of TAP’s status match programme yesterday (probably the first in the entire blogger network!). A reader has already submitted his application and got some positive feedback!

On the evening of July 6th, he signed up to TAP’s programme after seeing my post. He forgot though, err, to upload his membership card (Flying Blue Gold) in the process, so sent a follow-up email immediately afterwards.

He then got this email straightaway, confirming receipt of his application:

On the morning of July 7th, he received a second email confirming that his application was valid:

Knowing this, he then proceeded to purchase the Club TAP Miles&Go membership.

And to our surprise, TAP sent him a third email in the afternoon already, confirming that his application had been approved and his status will be updated within 15 days! The entire process took less than 24 hours.

I have also reached to TAP’s customer service for various enquiries previously, and like this example here, I have generally been very impressed by how efficient they are.
