Badazhou Gold after one stay, Manchester deal, Expedia 50% off hotels

Badazhou

A quick reminder that Badazhou’s summer promotion has just returned for a limited time. If you’re not already a member, don’t forget to scan the QR code below with Wechat and pick up a complimentary Silver membership first.

The headline offer is the Gold fast track promotion:

  • Register via the promotion page and book any preferred partner rate 专享价 between 6-8 July
  • Complete your stay by 31 August
  • After the stay, you’ll receive trial Gold status valid through the end of the year

The benefits of trial Gold status are fairly limited, but given how low the barrier is, it’s worth registering anyway. You’ll earn more Badazhou points for your stays with the Gold status.

On a related note, a reader has just pointed out a very good Manchester deal bookable via Badazhou: Kimpton Clocktower Hotel.

The five star hotel can be booked for as low as just over £100 a night, and the IHG Destined rate comes with $100 dining credit, free breakfast amongst other benefits; and if you want to stay longer, a 3-for-2 offer applies. The deal is extraordinary and is not available via Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts.

Expedia

On the other hand, Expedia has launched a Summer Sale, quoting up to 50% off select hotels, available today only.

I tend to discard such promotions from hotel agencies as they are usually fake, but Expedia seems to be serious this time. At least the four hotels listed on their promo page are genuinely much cheaper than other websites.

£54 a night in London’s Earl’s Court in August is a fantastic deal. I’m not sure however, how many hotels are actually participating.
