United’s promotional transfer bonus has come back, a good opportunity for those who have a lot of Marriott points and nowhere to spend them.

- Convert any hotel points to United get 25% bonus
- Bonus is capped at 25,000 miles in this promotion
Although United has a handful of transfer partners, the main (only?) worthy one remains to be Marriott Bonvoy. You can transfer 3 Marriott points to 1 United mile, and if you transfer 60,000 points in one transaction, you earn a 10,000-mile bonus.
Note that the bonus is excluded from this promotion. In other words, 60,000 Marriott points = 35,000 United miles, which is a great deal.
To max out the bonus, you could convert 300,000 Marriott points into 175,000 United miles. United miles don’t expire.
Unfortunately United miles have been continuously devaluing in the last years (just like many other hotel and airline loyalty programs), but if you could find use of it, this is a great promotion to take advantage of.
