If you haven’t signed up to IHG’s Q3 promotion yet, you might want to consider your options and make some speculative bookings quickly.
IHG has added an extra bonus to its Q3 promotion for Greater China members:
- Booking window: 27 May to 30 May
- Stay window: 27 May to 31 August
- All eligible stays earn 1x more points
There’s no separate registration required – as long as you already registered for the Greater China Q3 promotion, you’ll automatically be included.
Do note that the Q3 promotion has two mutually exclusive versions: the Greater China version and the overseas version. If you registered for the overseas version, you will not be eligible for this flash sale offer. Your account address must be inside / outside the Greater China region to be able to register for the respective offer, and the same bonus applies regardless of where your hotel stay actually takes place.
With this extra layer added, the Greater China promotion now effectively becomes:
- Double points on your first stay
- Triple points on subsequent stays
That makes the offer considerably more attractive. Under the triple-points structure, a pre-tax nightly rate of US$100 is already enough to match the value of the overseas version (8,000 bonus points for every 4 nights). The downside, however, is that the booking window is extremely short, so it’s worth making as many bookings as possible before this Saturday.
Meanwhile, the regular Destination Deal has also been refreshed:
- Booking window: 26 May to 31 May
- Stay window: 29 May to 12 July
- Up to 30% off participating hotels worldwide
- Must book at least three days in advance
- Free cancellation up to seven days before arrival
The timing overlaps heavily with the flash sale above, and since bookings remain cancellable up to seven days before arrival, there’s a decent amount of flexibility as well. Definitely worth considering if you’re interested.
