If you’ve stayed at least 50 nights with Marriott in 2025, don’t forget to select your Annual Choice Benefit. I went with the suite night upgrade awards plus the free night award, a pretty classic combination.
If you don’t make a selection by February 1st, suite night upgrade awards will be assigned to you by default. In the past, there was a bug with choosing the free night award: if you selected it after January 1st, you’d actually get one more year of expiry. This was supposedly fixed last year, but surprisingly it has resurfaced again this year.
The free night award I just selected is now valid until the end of 2027. Of course, based on last year’s experience, it might get corrected back after a few days. But either way, it’s not a big deal as the voucher is fairly easy to use.
