Virgin Australia is also having a sale on their Velocity points. Until October 21, you’ll earn a stair-cased discount, up to 40% off when you purchase at least 210,000 points.
Historically the most generous offer VA had was 50%-off, but that’s rather rare and 40%-off is already the second best. After the discount you are looking to pay 14 AUD / $9.1 / £6.8 per 1,000 points. This is especially attractive to UK customers thanks to the strong GBP at the moment.
