Continuing the topic of Hilton SLH integration, another redemption sweet spot has been extensively discussed on Flyertalk, this time in the Caribbean.
The Hermitage Bay hotel at Antigua was one of the first to land in the Hilton system, if I remember correctly. A room night costs 130K points on redemption, which sounds pretty good given its $2,500+ cash rate.
What’s even better – it is an all-inclusive hotel so you eat and drink for free. In fact according to the Flyertalk thread, @Six Travelers obtained an email confirmation from the hotel and all following services are complimentary:
- All meals with daily menus; all items are made to order and served a la carte
- All cocktails, premium spirits, beer, soft drinks, water, poured house wine and mini-bar
- Airport Meet and Greet with Fast Track Immigration service
- Private airport transfer on arrival and departure when booking 3 nights or more.
- Wi-Fi throughout the property
- Fresh fruit on arrival
- Afternoon snack and canapés at cocktail hour
- French Champagne (only offered Dec 21 – March 31)
- Morning meditation with yoga or Pilates class (class type alternates daily)
- Non-motorized water sports, e.g. paddleboards, kayaks, Hobie cats, snorkeling
- Live entertainment every night
- Complimentary weekly cooking course/ demonstration with the chef (Wednesday)
- Tour of the hotel’s organic garden (Tuesday or by request)
The deal is even better than at the Milaidhoo Maldives where half-board is offered.
The main challenge? It is a very small hotel with only 30 rooms, and availability is almost non-existent at the moment until May 2025. It seems that 3-night minimum applies on most dates.
Any SLH sweetspots for hotels in the UK?
Some are okay value-wise, e.g. Grove of Narberth, but nothing exceptional afaik
