They are cheaper than IHG’s half-price point sales (0.5c). Such purchases are categorised as hotel / travel by American Express, which may sway your decision on which card to use.
Remember that such offers go very quickly, so act fast if you are interested.
Do you happen to know if the charges count as IHG spend when paying with the Chase U.S. IHG credit cards? If so, another 10X points would be earned on the charge if paying with the IHG Premier card!

Is there a trick to finding the properties where the cash and points rate works to buy them at less than .5 cpp? Or is it just hunting around and trying different dates? Thanks for flagging this!
I believe a trick exists but I don’t know what it is. But in general it happens when a reward night discount is in place.
Got it. I keep seeing properties where the point part of points and cash is 15% less, but the cash part is still essentially $30 for 5000 points.
