Langham is a small luxury hotel group based in Hong Kong, with a handful hotels in China, and scattered international destinations such as Jakarta, London, Venice, New York, Toronto and Auckland. Their main brands are Langham and Cordis.
Langham shut down their 1865 membership program recently, and re-launched Brilliant by Langham shortly after. It’s strange how they just terminated 1865 instead of doing a revamp – those who qualified for their 1865 tier lost everything and have to restart from scratch.
They have however published a status match route for Mastercard holders.
- Mastercard World Elite -> Ruby
- Mastercard World -> Sapphire
- Mastercard Titanium / Platinum -> Diamond
There are five tiers in the new Brilliant program, and Ruby is the highest. To participate you need to create a new Langham account, and then email your membership number + Mastercard type + first 6 digits to [email protected]. From an anecdotal data point a reader provided, they responded after 1 day saying it would take up to 7 days for the upgrade to complete.
Here are a few BINs that may be eligible, in case you want to give it a try: 552415 / 517357 / 537805.
Ruby has the following elite benefits:
- Early check-in
- Late check-out (4pm)
- Room upgrade voucher
- 10% dining gift
- Welcome amenity: points / welcome drink / local gift / on-property credit
It is not substantial, as free breakfast or lounge access isn’t included. It is also unclear how long the matched status is valid for, but given they are a new program I assume many details are still being worked on.
Would you be able to sort a new bin code?😬
The hack doesn’t work anymore. You must have a valid credit card to register on Mastercard’s website first.
Thanks mate
