Lufthansa has launched a new status match promotion. Thanks to reader @Florian for the tip:
- Available exclusively to Malaysia Airlines members
- Can be matched to Lufthansa Frequent Traveller or Senator status
- Status is valid until February 2027
- Complete 2 / 6 eligible segments by the end of 2026 to retain status
I couldn’t find any information about this on the Lufthansa website, but the offer was originally posted by Lufthansa employees on LinkedIn, so it should be legitimate.
It’s a shame that the offer is not available to more airline programs – Lufthansa is returning to Kuala Lumpur this October, so this status match is presumably part of the celebrations. The offer itself is definitely a good one. Lufthansa Senator status is extremely useful, and the challenge itself isn’t particularly difficult either.
