Accor
Accor has launched a new promotion with very solid returns:
- Open to residents of the UK, France, Germany, and Spain
- Booking window: 30 March – 27 April
- Stay by 30 April
- Complete one stay (minimum 2 nights) in Europe or North Africa
- The first 1,500 participants will receive 3,000 points
The reward is quite generous – 3,000 points are worth €60 when redeeming towards your future Accor stays. Note that the promotion hasn’t started yet, so wait until tomorrow to book. Note that there’s a residency requirement, which should depend on your account address.
Wyndham
In the meantime, Wyndham is back with another points sale: buy at least 3,000 points by 1 May and receive a 100% bonus (some accounts may get 80% or 90%). After the bonus, the cost works out to just 0.65 cent per point.
Wyndham’s redemption system is very straightforward, with only three tiers: 7,500 / 15,000 / 30,000 points. Under this promo, the effective redemption costs are roughly $48.75 / $97.5 / $195 respectively. You can filter hotels on the official site by redemption level and location. Here are some examples:
- Wyndham Singapore: 15,000 points
- Wyndham Garden Bangkok Sukhumvit 42: 15,000 points
- Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol (Spain): 15,000 points
- Wyndham Grand Algarve (Portugal): 30,000 points
- Vienna House Andel’s Prague: 15,000 points
- Wyndham Grand Tbilisi: 15,000 points
- The Beekman Tower New York: 30,000 points
Since the maximum cost is capped at 30,000 points, it’s especially useful in high-priced markets or at high-end hotels, and it’s not unusual to get more than 50% off compared to the cash price.
Another advantage is that the same number of points can sometimes be used to book premium room types or even suites at certain properties, although availability for suites seems more limited now. For example, you can get a quadruple room the Ramada in Dongdaemun, Seoul:
Overall, Wyndham points still offer quite a few sweet spots, so definitely worth a look if you have a use case.
