IHG’s new hotel promotion has just been refreshed. By redeeming points and staying at selected (newly opened or refurbished) hotels by 31 March, you can enjoy a 15% discount on award stays. Some participating hotels include:

- Candlewood Suites Reykjavik, Iceland
- Vignette Collection Ciel Dubai Marina, UAE
- InterContinental The Red Sea Resort, Saudi Arabia
- Holiday Inn Beijing Daxing Centre, China
Of particular note is the Ciel hotel in Dubai, which I’ve just stayed at — freshly opened and now the world’s tallest hotel. While the hardware isn’t especially impressive, it’s certainly worth a visit, and with the 15% discount it’s quite good value. Another standout is the InterContinental in Saudi Arabia: the Red Sea resort is clearly positioning itself as a competitor to the Maldives, and from what I’ve seen of the water along the Jeddah coastline, it really is stunning already.
