The New York – London route is one of the busiest in the world. Not long ago I shared an amazing lie-flat “business class” deal, and today we’re looking at an economy option.

Norse Atlantic Airways is a low-cost carrier and its website offers a price calendar. Here’s an example of the lowest fare (on Skyscanner):
I mean, it is a budget airline so you won’t get free checked bags, seat selection or even food with that fare, but at this price point you really shouldn’t ask for anything more!
Virgin’s lowest fares appear in November and December:
Although slightly more expensive, Virgin operates many more flights and you’ll get some points back from that ticket.
Their cheapest Economy Light ticket doesn’t come with free select selection or bag allowance either. However, if you have Skyteam Elite status, I believe you can check in one bag for free (unlike BA).
