It’s not the first time that I write about “China Exclusive” hotel promotions, which sometimes can be very lucrative even for foreigners. Hyatt has just launched its “Hearts of Hyatt” offer which you should serious consider participating if it suits your need.
Note that it’s available in Hyatt’s Wechat mini-program only. It’s in Chinese but Wechat has a translation overlay feature which could help you explore. Here are some rules about the “Hearts of Hyatt”:
- Purchase the Hearts by November 11
- Stay between November 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026
- Each Heart costs CNY 100, with a purchase limit of 30 per person
- You can apply up to three Hearts per booking, and hold up to three active Heart bookings at a time
- Bookings using Hearts are non-refundable
- Unused Hearts can be refunded
Each Heart can be used to unlock a special discounted room rate for one night at a participating hotel.
- Most Hyatt hotels in Mainland China participate (UrCove excluded)
- Over 170 hotels across 17 countries outside China are included
- In Mainland China, Heart rates are at least CNY 300 cheaper than the best available rate
- In other regions, Heart rates are at least CNY 200 cheaper than the best available rate
- Every five Hearts used earns one elite qualifying night
- In Greater China, every three Hearts used earns 2,000 bonus points
- In other regions, every three Hearts used earns 3,000 bonus points
In short, the Hearts of Hyatt promotion gives you access to special discounted rates that still earn standard points and nights, plus bonus points and additional night credits depending on usage. The main downside is that bookings are non-refundable.

I was suspicious of the discount, because 200 CNY (~£21) isn’t really much of a saving compared to the rate level of many Hyatt hotels. It works out surprisingly good though, as the real discount is very often 20% or even more at many participating properties.
Take the Park Hyatt London as an example, say that you stay three nights using the Heart rate. You pay 300 CNY (~£34) for the Hearts, but then save £189 and earn 3,000 bonus points! Quite a bargain.
If you are intrigued, I suggest trying out the Hyatt Wechat mini-program, purchase one Heart and see if it works for you. Payment can be made with foreign credit cards but there’s a 3% fee if the payment is 200 CNY or more, so you may want to purchase only one Heart at a time.
