GHA launches “Dine with D$” in London

Similar to LHW and SLH, GHA is a relatively loose hotel alliance, which means its ability to enforce consistent elite benefits across individual properties is fairly limited. That said, in recent years they’ve made notable efforts – for example, more and more brands now offer complimentary breakfast to Titanium members, and redeeming D$ has become easier.

Now, there’s another interesting new feature: GHA has partnered with The Wolseley Hospitality Group in London, allowing members to both earn and redeem D$ when dining at any of its nine restaurants. The process is simple: just scan a dedicated QR code at payment, log into your GHA account, and you can choose to earn or redeem points.

If you opt to earn points, the rate is the same as for hotel stays: depending on your membership tier, you get 4% to 7% back. These transactions also count as qualifying spend (though realistically, very few GHA members would choose to maintain status through qualifying spend).

The nine participating restaurants are:

  • The Wolseley
  • The Delaunay
  • Brasserie Zédel
  • Colbert
  • Fischer’s
  • Bellanger
  • Soutine
  • Manzi’s
  • The Wolseley City

Some of these names might look familiar to our UK or European readers. Indeed, the first five restaurants are all on the Amex Platinum dining credit list. This means that every year, if you use your Platinum card to spend £200 across these venues, not only do you get the meal covered, but you can also pocket an extra dozen or so D$ in the process.

I’ve personally dined at two of them: The Delaunay and Bellanger. They were okay – I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to give proper reviews as I’m not much of an enthusiast for European cuisine.
