If you are a frequent traveller or online shopper, you are probably familiar with cashback sites like Topcashback. In the UK there are also other cashback schemes which are subscription-based and more complex, such as Complete Savings – which I thought of as a scam at the beginning, not realising it’s actually legit until recently.
Today’s subject however, is NX Rewards, a spin-off from Complete Savings but just better. As you can see from the logo above, it’s in collaboration with National Express, hence the name.
Unlike Complete Savings, you can join NX Rewards using this public link. After the 30-day free trial you’ll be charged £18 a month, but as long as you make a purchase at any participating retailer, you’ll earn a £18 bonus that offsets the fee.
Compared to Topcashback, NX Rewards or Complete Savings has fewer retailers but the rebate tends to be much higher. Here are some of them:
- Expedia 12%
- British Airways 10%
- Etihad 10%
- Qatar Airways 12%
- Virgin Atlantic 10%
- Trip.com 10%
- Trainline 10%
- Boots 10%
- ebay 10%
- Temu 12%
- Ali Express 12%
- Deliveroo 10%
Note that some of the retailers, especially airlines, may calculate cashback based on the pre-tax fare. Cashback is capped at £250 monthly.
You can also purchase certain gift cards, like Argos and One4all, at 20% discount.
It’s only been a month since I joined so I’m still evaluating the program, but it looks promising. The only catch is you must make one purchase each calendar month, but with Deliveroo, Trainline and Trip.com it’s very easy.
