Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s national airline, has launched a status match promotion.
Eligible members from select airline and hotel programs can submit an application to match to either Silver or Gold status in the Nomad Club, where a $49 application fee applies. If you are eligible for the Silver match but not Gold, you could pay an additional $199 fee to “upgrade”.
The participating program list is very long. Gold members from say Hilton, IHG, Accor and Marriott are all eligible for the Gold match, making the bar extremely low. It’s basically buying the Gold card (expires December 31, 2025) for $49.
Gold cardholders receive 2 additional check-in bags, free seat selection and business lounge access when flying Air Astana. Air Astana is not in any airline alliance.
