For us who live in Europe, Accor has added two new partners where we can earn or spend points. First one being the Orient Express luxury train service, in which Accor started to invest in year 2017.
The plan is to launch the full original Paris – Istanbul route in late 2026, although I highly doubt it will pan out on time. The auxiliary La Dolce Vita service however, is already going into operate soon.
They run multiple itineraries in Italy and as an Accor member, you can:
- Earn 2,500 points per €1,000 spent
- Redeem every 1,000 points for €20
- Earn immediately Accor status for one booking:
- Deluxe: Gold
- Suite: Platinum
- La Dolce Vita Suite: Diamond
Get elite status for just one booking sounds exciting, the catching being it’s very expensive. This is the cheapest I can find:
I’m not going to spend €15,000 for two Accor Platinum cards! I can’t find any availability or even information of La Dolce Vita suite, which appears to be the “Presidential Suite” on the train.
UK members can now buy Odeon tickets at a discounted price on Accor’s Activity platform.
- Standard Anytime: £8.99
- Standard Off-peak: £6.99
- Luxe Anytime: £14.99
- Luxe Off-peak: £12.99
Although not impressive, the discount is there if you don’t have a better option.
