Two less known but excellent Black Friday hotel sales.
[Melia]
Melia is generally pretty good with their sales. It’s consistently cheaper than third-party sites and you can stack deals including the app 5% discount, Gold 20% voucher and Points & Cash discount.
The new Black Friday promotion is live:
- Book by December 1
- Stay by April 30 at Urban hotels, or December 20 at Resort hotels.
- Get up to 50% off at participating hotels.
Here are some examples I see (with all discounts applied):
- Melia London White House £101
- Melia Paris Champs Elysees €117
- Melia Athens €50
- ME Madrid Reina Victoria €118
- ME Barcelona €222
- Melia Shanghai Parkside 693 RMB
- Melia Chiang Mai 3495 THB
If you are ready to book but have no points, they are running a 30% bonus sale on buying points.
[Ennismore]
Ennismore is a hotel group that owns brands such as Hoxton, Mama Shelter, 25Hours, SLS, SO/ and Hyde. Some of the brands may look familiar as they participate in Accor’s program as well.
They have a loyal program called well, Dis-loyalty. You must pay to join and then get 50% off at new / select hotels, 10% off dining and a free daily coffee plus other benefits.
Their Black Friday sale is also on:
- Book by December 4
- Stay by August 31
- 50% off at 45 properties globally
Here are some examples:
- The Hoxton London Shepherds Bush £115
- The Hoxton Brussels €98
- 25Hours Copenhagen Paper Island 1,400 DKK
- 21c Chicago $142
- SLS Cancun $258
- Mondrian Hong Kong 1017 HKD
- SO/ Maldives $597
- Mondrian Singapore Duxton 185 SGD
- Mondrian Seoul Itaewon 181,500 KRW
To become a member you can choose to pay annually or monthly, although there’s a 12-month commitment anyway and the annual plan is much cheaper. I found a working promo code LOTI1M which reduces the rate further:
£78.6 isn’t too bad as you can earn it back in just one stay. I’m wondering if you can get Accor’s elite benefits and earn Accor points in the meantime?
