Cheap point deals: London concerts and Paris tennis!

All mainstream hotel loyalty programs have nowadays an auction platform where you can bid for or redeem tickets for events. Some very good deals have just emerged and I think it’s worth sending a redminder.

The O2 Arena in London has many hospitality boxes, and Marriott owns one of them. They released some concert tickets lately and I’ve never seen anything this cheap:

• Crowded House, Oct 11, 20,000 points
• Dream Theater, Oct 20, 20,000 points
• McFly, Oct 9/10, 30,000 points
• Lil Tjay, Oct 12, 30,000 points
• Sid Sriram, Oct 13, 30,000 points

Remember that the price is for two entries at the Marriott Bonvoy Suite, with a buffet meal included! For me it’s kind of in the territory of “I don’t know the performer but I just want free food and the experience”.

I’m a tennis fan who don’t play tennis – I’ve been to Wimbledon three times in the last four years! The Rolex Paris Masters will be held at well, the Accor Arena, and Accor as the sponsor has released some tickets:

• Carre All – regular category 3 tickets, starting at 2,000 points
• Somewhere Bar – tickets with 1 free drink per person at the secret bar, starting at 4,000 points
• La Suite – VIP hospitality with meals and drinks, starting at 8,000 points

All tickets are for two with VIP entry. Note that category 3 is one of the worse categories, so although cheap Carre All might not be great in terms of the overall experience. At the time of writing some semi-finals and final tickets have sold out, but the availability in general is still good.

I was at the same event in the Emirates Box back in 2018 and I had a nice time. As Accor is the main sponsor of the venue, my hopes are high that they will exceed my expectations!
