Badazhou summer promotion: Gold status after one stay and bonus points

We introduced Badazhou recently, a Chinese travel agency that enables you to book preferred partner rates online. They have some interesting promotions for this summer and we’ll have a look today.

[Gold fast track]

If you don’t have an account with Badazhou already, scan the QR code below using Wechat to register and earn Silver status instantly.

And then you can participate in their fast track offer:

  • Any preferred partner rate is eligible
  • Book by August 8
  • Stay by August 31
  • Earn Badazhou’s Gold status after one stay
  • The upgrade is applied on the 20th of the following month
  • The status is valid till December 2024

A preferred partner rate could be Hilton Impresario, Hyatt Prive, Marriott Stars and more- basically any rate with the orange 专享价 label.

You usually have to pay for the Gold status and it’s not cheap. As a result, the free upgrade excludes most of the Gold benefits. You will however, earn 1.5x Badazhou points on your bookings.

You need to sign up on the offer page. In Badazhou’s mini program click the floating orange button 会员日 at the bottom right corner, and scroll down to the relevant section to activate.

[Bonus points]

A couple of bonus point offers are also active until August 8th:

  • 8x points on Accor, Rosewood, Belmond, Aman and Jumeirah bookings
  • 4x points on all other bookings

Note that only one offer can be triggered per booking. If multiple offers are applicable, only the highest one will apply. Only preferred partner rate bookings are eligible.

Badazhou points can be transferred into frequent flyer and hotel programs. For example:

  • Singapore Airlines: 5,000 points -> 500 miles
  • Cathay Pacific: 5,000 points -> 200 miles
  • Marriott: 2,500 points -> 200 points
  • Accor: 9,000 points -> 500 points
  • Hilton: 2,000 points -> 200 points

There’s currently a 50% transfer bonus on Cathay and Marriott until August 8th.

[Hotel sale]

Preferred partner rate is usually the same as the best flexible rate, some hotels may however offer a discount at the same time. My personal favourite is the 3-for-2 incentive, and here are some examples along with the nightly rate:

  • Shanghai, Mandarin Oriental / £145
  • Beijing, Fairmont / £155 (Fairmont Gold Junior Suite)
  • Hong Kong, The Murray / £253
  • Tokyo, Grand Hyatt / £402
  • Bangkok, Waldorf Astoria / £205
  • Dubai, The Banyan Tree / £278
  • London, Andaz Liverpool Street / £204
  • Berlin, Grand Hyatt / £131
  • Madrid, The Thompson / £252
  • Vienna, SO/ / £179

    The usual preferred partner rate benefits apply, including free breakfast, $100 credit, room upgrade and late checkout. You’ll earn points and stay credits with the original hotel loyalty program too.

      Hi, Kai.
      I recently signed up using your code and made a booking.
      May I know how can I get upgraded to Gold Member of Badazhou?
      Maybe must purchase certain amount to get upgraded?
      Thanks

      I noticed that somehow the price on Accor ALL Apps is more expensive than Badazhou’s app. So intend to book via Badazhou instead.

      Understood that I will get original hotel loyalty points too.
      As I am Accor member, will I get Status Nights too after stays?

      Thanks

        You pay 3888 RMB and I generally don’t recommend.

        Yes you should get everything on virtually all rates on Badazhou! Just make sure it’s not a special targeted rate like for the senior citizens etc
