The programme devalued after merging with SPG into Marriott Bonvoy, as now you could only match to Platinum (previously Titanium equivalent). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/marriott-status-challenge.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/marriott-status-challenge.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8311\" width=\"400\" height=\"123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/marriott-status-challenge.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/marriott-status-challenge-300x92.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/marriott-status-challenge-768x235.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It appears that Marriott has just opened the floodgate of status match though. <a href=\"https:\/\/st.nkdspace.com\/tr\/strack\/?hsd=09a635c8ffb78e23129628cf07c4d060&amp;idvid=180368&amp;deeplinkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fstatus-match.marriott.com%2Fen-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The application page is here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It&#8217;s open to new and existing Marriott members<\/li><li>You need to have status with IHG, Hilton, Accor or Hyatt<\/li><li>The challenge is available for <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">Gold<\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color\">Platinum<\/span><\/strong> tiers<\/li><li>Once approved, you&#8217;ll have a 90-day trial of the status immediately, during which you need 5 paid nights to attain Gold or 15 paid nights to attain Platinum<\/li><li>The attained status is valid through February 2022<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/st.nkdspace.com\/tr\/strack\/?hsd=09a635c8ffb78e23129628cf07c4d060&amp;idvid=180368&amp;deeplinkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fstatus-match.marriott.com%2Fen-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The terms and conditions are here<\/a>. The following memberships are accepted for this promotion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Gold: Accor Gold, Hyatt Explorist<\/li><li>Platinum: Accor Platinum, Hyatt Globalist, Hilton Gold &amp; Diamond, IHG Platinum &amp; Spire<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Looks like they&#8217;ve forgotten about Accor Diamond :p Marriott&#8217;s Gold status has very little point, so I&#8217;d only make the effort for Platinum match. It&#8217;s very easy to get <a href=\"..\/..\/..\/get-fast-hilton-honors-gold-or-diamond-status\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hilton Gold<\/a> or <a href=\"..\/..\/..\/earn-instant-ihg-platinum-status-and-fast-track-to-spire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IHG Platinum<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that you also need at least one stay in the past 12 months with the competing hotel programme, which shouldn&#8217;t be a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, only <strong>paid<\/strong> stays count, so don&#8217;t rush to book loads of award nights!
