Historically, I (as well as many other people) used to visit loads of convenience stores in London with loads of Amex cards, to buy oyster cards &#8211; this way you are essentially getting 50% off your TFL travel, although many shop owners will charge you a small fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the current circumstances though, I obviously do not want to make this effort anymore. Yes, you can top up your Amazon credit balance physically in shops, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/b?ie=UTF8&amp;node=13829821031&amp;tag=verylvke-21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the how-to is written on this page<\/a>. Here are the steps to take:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gc\/bnm\/store-locator\/?tag=verylvke-21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amazon&#8217;s store locator<\/a> to find participating venues<\/li><li>Find the ones that overlap with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanexpress.com\/en-GB\/maps?cat=Shop-Small\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amex Shop Small Map<\/a><\/li><li>Ask for a top-up in the store<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two ways to top up: you can either ask for a claim code and redeem it afterwards, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gc\/bnm\/view-barcode\/?tag=verylvke-21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scan your personal barcode on the spot<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, beware that not all shops are happy to accept credit cards for this kind of transactions.
