We talked about Ascott’s amazing points sale<\/a> recently, as well as their status match programme through Amex membership<\/a>. What I didn’t know is that as an elite member, you can also gift your status to someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is actually prescribed in their terms and conditions<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>You may gift your Tier status to one individual during your membership duration with the Loyalty Programme, or such other number as Ascott may from time to time publish on the Brand Website. After gifting your Tier status, your Tier status remains unchanged.\u00a0<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So if you have Silver \/ Gold \/ Platinum status with Ascott, you can email their customer service to nominate another person for the same status level. His \/ her status will be valid for one year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course this benefit doesn’t apply to those whose status is gifted. This is a quick way to double your gain, even if your original status is obtained via status match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
